The Reef Series

The Reef Series captures the dynamic relationship between fluidity and structure. Inspired by the intricate textures and organic movement found beneath the ocean's surface, these paintings combine bold gestural forms with soft, atmospheric backgrounds. Intuitive Creation

My artistic process involves building each piece through layered acrylic techniques, palette knives, and intuitive mark-making. Rather than relying on strict plans, I allow the composition to evolve naturally, responding to the interaction of colours and textures. The tactile nature of thick acrylic paint allows me to mimic natural surfaces, creating a dialogue between heavy impasto and soft, atmospheric passages, reflecting the immersion in the natural world.
